Milen Krastev

Milen Krastev was born in 1973 in Varna. He studied at the Varna Free University where he he was doing culture studies and graduated from the Kunsthochschule, Kassel in “Bildende Kunst”. Apart from being an artist, he works as a curator, gallerist and designer. As part of his longtime artistic project Milenotopia, he has realized various subprojects using photography, video, performance, installation, sculpture, etc. as a medium. “Project Milenotopia” is a simulation – a method for analyzing systems that are too complicated for theoretical or formal processing. The various levels of “Project Milenotopia” are experimental models that render the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of the system in its entirety. The underlying theme in “Project Milenotopia” is the study of the interaction and the tensions between personality and society from the individual’s standpoint.
